Abstract:

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) as a manifestation of vein thromboembolism is a frequent and potentially life-threatening disease especially in hospitalized and immobile patients. Diabetes mellitus and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) are of its reported, challenging risk factors.
